On October 11, 2024 at 7 p.m., I will be giving a presentation on "Closing the care gap - quickly and in line with demand" at my cooperation partner Mannheimer Morgen. With over 35 years of experience in the insurance industry, particularly in the area of health and long-term care insurance, I see the urgent need to find solutions to the long-term care problem.

Demographic trends in Germany show that the need for care services is continuously increasing, while financial and human resources are becoming increasingly scarce. This leads to a care gap that not only puts a strain on those affected and their relatives, but also on the entire social system.

In my presentation, I will discuss what steps are possible and necessary to close this gap quickly and purposefully. In doing so, I will not only address the role of politics and insurers, but also the importance of early provision and a conscious approach to the topic of long-term care. Because only through a combination of individual and social efforts can we close the care gap effectively and sustainably.
